it seems like in this world, magical horses (solborn) are tied to their riders, sharing with them their powers. i'm excited to learn more about how this happens and why!

i do not think a novel has ever left me so broken-hearted and melancholic. it has been said that the greeks are known for their tragedies, and madeline miller does not stop short of paralyzing anguish, penning a fitting fiction of the trojan war. achilles and patroclus, doomed star-crossed lovers, shall run, climb, laugh, and sing rent-free in my mind. i shall mourn their care free days together on mount pelion, the thousand ways they loved one another, and the wordless devotion i hope lives on past death.
