The narration style is quite interesting and completely new for me. I don't really know how to describe it - like first-person present-/simultaneously past-tense?

The two timelines presented right at the beginning make me wonder if we'll follow two Fitzs (one young, one old) and have things happening in the past as well as the present or if this storytelling-vibe continues. I can see how it could make the reader feel distant to the character but I actually enjoy it - gives me a cosy, sitting-by-the-fire-energy, which is perfect for fantasy!
