5 stars. I read this all in one sitting, i physically could not put this book down. This whole book was breathtakingly heartbreaking, especially the first chapter. It was about her father and her broken, unhealthy family. That chapter, specifically page 13, touched something in me that I can’t explain. First page and I was already tearing up, but page 13 definitely did it for me. “some fathers teach their daughters to confuse abuse with love. it may have worked on your mother, do not let it work on you.” i immediately broke down, this book is not for the girls with daddy issues 🥹 but, i loved it. I read this book in less than an hour, but i will still remember it forever. i saw one review commenting on how this felt like poetry from a notes app, and no hate to them, but that’s the point. I LOVE this book for that. it feels like i can get into this woman’s mind, i can feel her raw emotion, i can see myself in her shoes. I love that it feels like poetry from a notes app, because my notes app holds my deepest and most vulnerable thoughts. I loved this book. If you struggled with an emotionally unavailable and mentally abusive father, if you grew up in a shaky and broken household, if you only attract guys who you see your father in, if you have an evil ex, or just want to read this book, i feel like you’ll love it too. this is my rereading of the book, and it still hits me the same as it did for the first time.

I don’t even know where to start on this. This book was absolutely amazing, words cannot describe it. This is the perfect book if you are trying to more thoroughly understand what it’s like being on the spectrum and how neurodivergent people live their lives differently from a neurotypical person. This book was so good I couldn’t put it down. I don’t typically like verse novels, but I do feel as reading this book is helping sway my opinion about that. I loved this book. I didn’t mind it was a verse novel as I started reading, the story started getting good. I will admit the story was a teeny bit on the slower side towards the start, but as I kept reading on the book kept getting better and better and I couldn’t stop reading. This is truly a powerful piece of literature about the autism spectrum and people’s experiences with it. This book was so beautifully heartfelt, and the entire time I kept reading on I just wanted to tell Selah that I understood her and that I promise she wasn’t broken or damaged. I can’t say mouth without spoiling too much of the ending, but the ending was very satisfying and made me very happy. Yay for Selah!!!! This book really helps communicate how difficult it can be to actually realize not everyone experiences what you do and that something might actually be up. Not wrong—but different, yes. This book was so immensely beautiful and important, and I do recommend reading this book. This was a very quick read for me, and part of me wishes I had taken more time to read this book so I could’ve taken everything in like it deserved. But truly, this book is remarkable. I loved it!!!

An introduction to the Romance genre, these books are part of the cultural zeitgeist or the 'canon' that many would recognize. Look for more niche titles in later Starter Pack volumes.

Okayyy… I have been collecting manga for some time now but don’t really have much of the classics. I heard about Parasyte before but never actually watched the anime or read the manga at all, giving how it was made in the ‘90s?? But I read this and it was actually really good!! I finished it in a single day!! (8pm —> 11pm and then i was reading it throughout the day at school) and I did thoroughly enjoy it! I am already looking for the second volume actually, I can’t stand this cliffhanger!!!!! It was honestly really good and might convince me to watch the anime. This was a good short read to help get me out of my slump and it was definitely worth the read!! I haven’t really read much horror/sci-fi, but this is definitely going to help me expand my exquisite tastes. I do recommend for anyone who hasn’t read already!!! The first volume has good pacing and keeps you questioning things. I still have many questions unanswered, making me want to read volume 2!! Going to Amazon ASAP ——————> ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.5 stars definitely !!
