  • Neurodivergent characters

Hellooooo! I’m looking for book recommendations that are stories that include neurodivergent characters. As a kid the Percy Jackson books helped me so much to see my neurodivergence in a different and much more positive light. (Ty Rick Riordan 🩷) So I was wondering if there’s other fiction out there that includes some cool characters with ADHD/Autism/other neurodivergence 🩷

  • Downvoting

I'm always curious when I see a List that's been downvoted. I understand the purpose of downvoting, especially in the Club if someone says something disagreeable or offensive. But for Lists, I'm often surprised to see a List with downvotes. Can y'all tell me why you might downvote a List? I'm genuinely curious!

    My Take: A Holiday Gem

Thoughts & Feels: After a string of holiday duds this December, this book was a breath of fresh air! I absolutely enjoyed it and can see myself reaching for it again in the future.

This second-chance romance hit all the right notes. As with most second-chance stories, the original breakup could have been avoided with better communication, but the way the author handled the tropes here felt thoughtful and engaging.

Jess and Nick’s journey was one I rooted for from the beginning, and their happily-ever-after (plus the epilogue!) left me with a big smile. If you’re looking for a heartwarming holiday read, this is the one to pick up!

  • Raise your hand if you have been taken hostage by the Zodiac Academy universe 🙋🏾‍♀️

Started the first book in the OG Zodiac Academy series in January of this year and proceeded to get sucked into the Solarian universe for the following six months. When you first look at the series, especially the physical books and see how long each book is and how many exist within the original series + spinoff series you're like yeah there's no way I'm gonna read all that. Then you dive into one of the books and the next thing you know the Twisted Sisters have you hostage with plot twists and suspenseful cliffhangers that leave you scrambling to start the next book as soon as you finish. These books had me staying up reading until the sunrise because I simply had to know what happened next. I have now read 19 books from them and I have no regrets. Long live the Twisted Sisters. PS. I love that the series was co-written by two sisters, as a sister bestie myself that honestly sounds like a dream come true. If you read the ZA series (or the other Solarian series like Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac or Darkmore Penitentiary), which book was your favorite?

Okay I am finally jumping into this one, but going in completely blind. I really only know the bare minimum of the plot. We shall see how this goes. Hoping I love this one because my previous read really missed the mark for me.
