This is one of my most anticipated reads after it was recommended in a list of books to read after watching Sinners, so we will see 🥺

I tried, so hard, for 16 days! But I can't waste anymore time trying to enjoy this book because I'm just avoiding it at this point. I can only handle so much angsty, miscommunication in a historical romance and I reached my limit. I wanted to like this book so bad because it had such an interesting premise but instead it's a historical romance with vampires thrown in for intrigue. I also cannot stand the character of Nena. Her decision making is the only thing moving the plot forward and she's not making great ones. I'm so glad others have enjoyed it and hopefully I will like her other books better.

I’m ngl, I don’t think this book is for me. I’m very disinterested. I will see it through to the end, though.
