This could have been a favourite of mine but felt like it was trying to do everything possible for a romance book, and unnecessarily long.

I dont mind MMCs like Graydon that are a bit more jagged and the story with his mum was really sad. But it feels brushed over and just constantly goes back to being a dick as his personality trait. The dads role never really made sense other than to rile Graydon up. And Maple could have been so much more but one page she was sensitive and a crier (#valid) and the next page she's got so many comebacks and razor sharp. There was just a lack of coherence in their development and the emotional pay off just didnt quite hit for me.

My favourite part was the Gladdy Daddies and I cannot wait for OC's book, he stole the show for me 🫶

Hesitant to start this as I couldn't finish my last Meghan Quinn book (xmas one that I could not get into) but decided to have a go at the summer quest and so glad I did. Really enjoyed this, it was fun but had some vulnerable and emotional moments - exactly my kind of book.

Look past the HR violations about a mile long, and imo the actual villain of the book is none of the Brad's or Chad's, its Ellison because a boss getting involved in your personal life to that extent it weird as fuck. The company is actually a pyramid scheme that recruits couples for their marriage summer camp.

Looking forward to the next one in the quest and will give some more Quinn books a go, just not her xmas ones 😅
