I dont particularly listen to music while reading, but i loooove finding songs that remind me my favorite books or characters. Are there any songs that you associate with a certain book? I would love to hear some recommendations, both books and music!!

i know im only about halfway, but im so scared of finishing this book (and with it, the stormlight archive) for now. the next books wont be out for years, so maybe if I keep postponing the end i will have to wait shorter... does that make sense? i physically cannot get myself to keep reading 😭

What book absolutely broke you? It lives rent free in your head and was so emotionally damaging but you loved it and would recommend to others? Mine is tied between Under Your Scars and Torment Part 1 & 2

I feel like a lot of you are saying that you are struggling and I feel the same but I also have this feeling that it is repetitive. Just started chapter 30 and it's yet again training. I'm really doing my best to push through as I have really high expectations but it's hard

This is my third or fourth time reading this book, and I reread it three times just this month!! I was trying to slow down so I could add commentary, but I was so absorbed in the story that I couldn't put the book down! I picked up on SO much more on this reread than I ever have in the past.

How did you get into reading? Was it something you've always done? Or did you pick up a book randomly and never looked back? What has changed since then? I started getting into reading around July 2023. I used to hate it because it reminded me of school and assignments. Then I discovered the world of romance books and I've been reading constantly since. It's also made me a quicker and better reader. Although since starting university, I've been correlating everything from my lessons into the books, so it makes my brain work overtime when I read a dark romance book 💀

I've been challenging myself to read more books in translation (translated into english), so please drop all your recs!! The weirder the better tbh, I love stuff that's a little (or a lotta) bit unsettling or weird, but I'm generally open to any genre!

Do you consider yourselves harsh raters or overly generous ones? :) What's your rating system? I personally never go under 2 stars because if it's that bad I simply dnf. 2, I actively did not like it. Probably only finished it because it had some cool concept and I kept hoping it would fix itself before the end. 3 is okay. I don't have a massive issue about it, but it didn't grab me. 4, I liked it. It was good or really good (that's why we need half and 1/4 starts! Thanks Pagebound) with minor complaints. I feel like it's my most awarded rating 5, it was amazing/it made me FEEL THINGS. Either I had no issue whatsoever or I felt so emotionally involved I didn't mind them, regardless of the "quality" of the book

i feel like this is dragging... i can't even see any discernible plot its just random boring scenes all smushed together. i hope it gets better :(

Does anyone have any recommendations for something similar to the stormlight archive?? I got such a reading high from this. Something with great action but also great characterization? I also love John Gwynne’s books
