I still don't understand if I'm curious or disgusted while reading this (disgusted probably) I'm loving the writing style though, it is very direct, doesn't go around concepts etc. also I've been having a hard time eating meat since I started this🤙🏻

this is giving me the creeps. I'm only at the start but the way the "heads" are described is making my stomach curl. all the images shown? straight out from a nightmare. I hope I can actually manage to finish this but damn

okay I finished ittttt I don't know what exactly I'm thinking? I liked the ending tho, it felt right also one of my thoughts during the last pages, is how the fact that Alice is a vampire feels scarier than Sabine or Charlotte being. I think it's either because Alice's kills will be more difficult (her kills will likely be investigated?) (or, I've been wondering throughout the book, can they drink animal blood? it might've been addressed but if so I don't remember it), or because while reading of Sabine and Charlotte I knew for a fact that they had a future, as in they live in past and present history, so their immortality is less mysterious, while with Alice? we don't know how her future will be, we're left to wonder, and even that we can't do as much because we don't actually know what will follow in history, the future is as much a blank page to her as it is to us so yeah there's that, otherwise I don't have very profound thoughts lol alas, I loved it

WHY DO ALL FANTASY BOOKS ACT LIKE THE WORLD HAS TO BE 99% DARKNESS AND SUFFERING?? 😭 like yes yes trauma, politics, curses, blah blah blah, but HELLO?? where is the JOY??
Where are the little moments of happiness that make saving the world actually WORTH IT WITH ALL THAT TRAUMA🤨🤨?!? I wanna see them laughing around a campfire, trading dumb jokes. I wanna see the scary assassin begrudgingly adopting a stray dog(AARON WARNER, CALAENA SARDOTHIEN). i want epic battle scenes followed by cozy scenes of everyone eating soup and teasing each other about who tripped over their sword and how bad they all messed up or smth like that.😔
not EVERYTHING has to be tragic. not EVERY mentor has to die💔. not EVERY romance has to be pain & red flags🚩🚩. sometimes the most revolutionary thing in a fantasy world full of bloodshed is two idiots falling in love slowly, gently, and with ACTUAL RESPECT. sometimes the most beautiful thing is a found family that lives instead of trauma dumping... (I forgot how to spell and kept writing DUMPLING😭)
give me softness. give me hope. give me heroes who win not just by killing the villain but by building something better afterwards😔. imagine a fantasy book that ends with laughter, rebuilding, and HEALING (Like ACOTAR and Throne of glass. I havent finished Crescent City)
Fantasy doesn't have to be DEPRESSING AND DESPERATELY IN NEED OF THERAPY🤯!!

okay so, this is more a question than anything else so, there's this book that has recently come out (like at the beginning of sept), but I can't find it in pb, as i wanted to put that on my reading list. it is an italian book, so I guess there's a bit of difficulty on that front?? but all the other books by the author are present. is there any way to add this book, or make some kind of request for it to be added? (also the book in question is Scandalo a Hollywood, by Felicia Kingsley)
