I’m not sure if this will help out everyone I think it’s area dependent. But I’ve just discovered that I can look at an online library book catalog for my state and order any books (up to 5 at a time) to be delivered to my local library for pick up.

It’s amazing cause the libraries near me don’t have many books but statewide there’s lots of them.

Maybe other peoples areas have similar opportunities

Hey y’all! 👋 I’m needing new bookcases. Mine did not survive the move unfortunately and I have been putting off getting new ones because there is not an ikea near me (2.5 hour drive). In the past I’ve always had the white billy bookcases and liked them. Should I just get the same ones? Try the oak colour? Or branch out? For reference, I’m from Canada 🇨🇦 and most of my furniture in my room is white or a bamboo/natural wood colour. Would love some (relatively budget friendly) recs!

For my first post on Pagebound, I thought I'd ask about one of the most important parts of reading: the actual process of choosing what to read in the first place! So I ask: when you're deciding on something, what information do you look for before picking it up? Are you someone who can go in blindly without even reading the synopsis? Or do you spend some time checking out the reviews, the author and their other works, similarities between past books you've read, etc.? I'm interested to see where other people land on this!

Do you prefer to read physical copies or books or digital? Or does it not matter to you?

I prefer reading physically, but I'm not super strict about it :3
