As for product updates, we've made some quality of life improvements since our last check-in (example: search taking you to Books instead of Users when you press enter) but our largest improvement has been in site performance. Response times were getting pretty crazy with all the new traffic, and we're now consistently at low response times :) We also started beta testing the app! Still working through bugs so it's perfect for launch, but progress is well under way. We're hoping for a September launch but ofc will depend on how beta testing goes this month.

Lastly, we've been seeing such amazing convos in the book forums and the Pagebound Club. It's amazing to have a community this thoughtful, nuanced, and respectful. You all make Pagebound such an incredible community, so thank you!

after so many years of hearing great things about emily henry's writing, i'm finally picking up a book from her!! i started the book earlier today while i was waiting for several appointments at the hospital lol. unrelated but i'm having surgery on the third and i had like 4 presurgery appointments for several things so i spent a good chunk of my day, about 4 hours, at the hospital. so i decided, since i finished what i was reading yesterday, i would pick this one up from my summer TBR (yes, it's still unfortunately too hot for me to consider august autumn lmao). i'm 24% in and omg?!?! why do i feel already so excited to keep reading?! i'm super thrilled to keep reading! i love both main characters already lol. i adore their banter and how easily the book is read; how it feels like reading someone's life actually, i don't know how to explain this fully but oh well, what i'm trying to say is that i adore how real it feels. love love lovinggg this book so far, truly and i don't want to jinx it, but i'm thinking this has great potential of being a 4.5 star and beyond!! okii, enough yapping, more reading! i can't wait to see where the story takes me ♡
