My goal for the year is small but i find myself behind and in a slump but at the same time i'm excited to pick up the next book that comes along.

At this point Iām starting to get bored. The author is getting the character to say ideas off handily that would be a far more interesting plot than the story the author actually chose to write. It feels like stasia and the friends keep talking about not talking more than any plot is developing. I had such high hopes. Iāve reached the point where I want to just read a spoiler for the ending and DNF or sit down and just finish the thing. Sigh this was an anticipated read because of the plot description and also the page count and itās mostly just redundant descriptions of ordinary life things.

hi everyone! i'm going thru lots of changes and preparing for a new chapter in my life, all very good things but its a lot to process. i would love some book recs that explore these themes, and also include qtbipoc characters. they can be nonfiction or fiction. thank you frens :)
the feeling i feel right now is like coming home but home is filled with bittersweet memories that i still can't believe i made it thru, and i'm so grateful to be home but grieving the versions of me that didn't make it here, the other timelines. does anyone relate to that?
-main request: kinda going for bittersweet vibes, grief, aging/growing up, coming of age, some magical realism perhaps -any genre (except high fantasy or romance-centered books) -mg, ya, adult all ok! -similar to: the curse of eelgrass bog, and every morning the way home gets longer and longer -graphic novels and comics welcome -preferably something soothing or comforting, and also prefer audiobooks rn but welcome any format!

Hello boundlings! Iām coming to this forum in the hopes that someone can give me a recommendation for a good theory-heavy feminist book from this quest. Iām currently reading The New Age of Sexism by Laura Bates and while I am enjoying the read (as much as you can enjoy reading about that subject matter), it is primarily a fact-forward book as Bates is a researcher first. Thatās not a bad thing but itās making me want to read more theory to supplement.
Iām trying to improve my ability to articulate feminist theory so Iād like to read more from feminist thinkers. Are there any books on this quest that inspired you to think differently about the world? Or that gave you a better vocabulary to talk to about feminism? Please let me know!

Reality is overrated! These surreal and absurd fiction books remove logic to reveal their truths. Here the impossible is inevitable, the strange is necessary, and Kafkaesque is only the beginning.

Embracing the body and reclaiming otherness, these books use horror to redefine notions of womanhood and monstrosity.
