“I keep forgetting that even people who know me well don’t know much about my world.”
This simple line really hit home. I often think this on a daily basis - even my closest, most loving, most supportive humans will never know what it is to be in my body in this world every day. And that’s okay, but it is lonely sometimes. Officially getting out the annotation supplies (and self-care supplies) for this read 🩵

I desperately need to read books in French and was wondering if you had any recommendations? Please don't recommend books with spice in, and romance isn't really a genre that I'm too fond of either... Any recs?? Ou devrais-je dire des recommandations?

Hello everyone! I’ve been seeing so many lists lately about problematic authors/authors to avoid. While I think that’s so useful, I’d also like to create a list of authors who we should be supporting/who have been outspoken in support of human rights and other causes.
The only one I know off the top of my head is Sally Rooney, who was (is still)? donating her royalties to Palestine Action in the UK. Please add other suggestions in the comments and I’ll make a list!
Quick note: thank you so much for everyone’s input so far! I’d love for some recs of authors who have been supporting trans rights if anyone knows of any ❤️🏳️⚧️❤️ (I research gender discrimination so it’s a cause close to my heart)
Here is the list so far!

Very curious to see who some authors are that you will read anything they publish, no matter what.
The only author I can think of for me that's an instant read is Andy Weir. I've loved each of his books- although Artemis isn't quite as good as Project Hail Mary or The Martian.
