I really loved the character development, I really felt her pain and longing. I think the author did an amazing job of being in the time period without making it a major commentary on the time period. A very strong 4 stars!

Thoroughly Murakami and thoroughly enjoyable. I wouldn't say it's his best work but well worth a read. As always with him, it leaves more questions than it answers but I always enjoy the thought provoking nature of his work.
I do wish less time was spent rehashing the same territory as Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World, but understandable as i not really meant as a sequel.
Overall, really enjoyable read with interesting characters and great cosy vibes.
