I've started taking a very vibes-led approach to reading and I LOVE it but it means I never get to 95% of the books on my TBR and sometimes it bums me out. Like I literally go to the library or a used bookstore and peruse for whatever seems to call to me. I have a very high success rate and love the adventure of finding new genres and authors but my tbr is collecting dust đ . Just today I went to the library with 3 or 4 specific books in mind and left with 6 totally different ones.
Anyone else just follow their nose for their next read?

how do you define a good book? for me, it has to do with character development as well as the writing. i need writing to make me feel things with all senses and i also need to feel what the characters are feeling. along with good world building, a great book stays with me for weeks after finishing it.

I love borrowing from the library, however I also love the idea of having a bookcase absolutely filled in my house. I'm curious how others decide which books to add to their home collection?
