I kinda love how much Elikki loves herself. She builds herself up, and even if she doesn't trust others to stick around, she knows she's gorgeous. I found this refreshing. It's not something that you see all the time especially with plus size fmc's

Didn't love the characters, but I had a decent time. Definitely not my fav in the series tho. I had just finished a book that broke my spirit and honestly this helped.

I'm truly struggling to write this review. I really wanted to love this book, I was so excited to pick it up. While I expected the story to be at times somber, I couldn't imagine it being nearly as heavy as it was. I expected to finish the book feeling cozy or comforted, I did not. Overall I felt like the stories were a bit disjointed and just missing something, and I never felt like the feeling of a "renewed sense of hope" was achieved.
After finishing I felt mournful, and had I not already had another book going, I'm quite certain it would've led to a serious book rut.

Oh this got sad VERY fast. Emotional whiplash from the cozy open. â¤ď¸âđŠš
