This book is exactly the kind you pick up when you want something totally effortless to sink into. It's a very easy readânothing brain-wracking, nothing heavyâjust simple story. đ
I know some people say "nothing really happens" in these books, but I guess that's part of the charm. Not every story needs high-stakes drama; sometimes it's nice just to wander through a world that feels slow.
This time the setting shifts into summertime, đâąď¸ which is cute, but a part of me will forever be loyal to the autumn coziness from the first book. I definitely missed that extra layer of warmth and cinnamon-roll with pumpkin spice softness. đ
So, Hazel... Even though I'm not anywhere near thirty, I fully felt her "Is my life even moving?" panic. That stuck-in-place, everyone-else-is-moving-forward feeling is totally relatable. đŤŁ
But her⌠relationship? friendship? situationship?? with Noah? That escalated SO quickly I had to blink twice. đ One minute it's slow, the next minute I'm like: oh⌠really?
Overall, it's a breezy, quick story perfect for a laid-back reading day. đđĽ Super easy to get through⌠just missing that extra-cozy spark the first book wrapped me in. Still absolutely worth a warm afternoon read. đâ¨

This book is exactly what it promises to be: a super chill, no-brainer, feel-good read that gives you all the fall vibes. đ It's small-town romance at its coziest that it felt like stepping right into a Hallmark movie, complete with crunchy leaves, warm drinks, and that comforting "everyone knows everyone" charm. đ
I'll be real: I went in with pretty low expectations. I'd seen a lot of mixed reviews, and I get it; slow-life, small-town stories aren't everyone's cup of pumpkin spice latte. đ¤ˇââď¸ But once I started reading, I ended up finishing it in one sitting. It's the kind of book you can just relax into, no brain strain required, just cozy vibes and a sweet, simple romance. đ
Do I think they'll end up together, forever? Who cares! If you're looking for something light, cute, and autumn-soaked to breeze through a quiet evening, this one is a delightful little escape. đâ¨

Giving this book another chance because I paused it before 𤧠I didn't think I was smart enough for Caraval, my mind was spinning and confused đ
But really, why do I feel like Julian has this big secret that will only be revealed later on? đ¤ I'm not sure how to feel about that because his character is lowkey growing on me đŤ
