This was everything I wanted and expected it to be. This is a cozy mystery with The Golden Girls it was funny and clever and I loved it! After getting a mysterious invite to a gala on an island their host, a world famous artist, is found dead! While they are stuck on the island with the rest the guess they try to figure out exactly who did. While the mystery was predictable it was still really good and honestly what I wanted was for my favorite characters to still act and sound like my favorite characters and that’s what I got so I am happy!

I listen to this while doing chores and it was perfect. The story of Rory and Brent is sweet and charming and the narrator for the audiobook definitely conveyed that. We have Rory who hides in Brent’s book story while taking a break from his parents during a visit home. Brent is attract to Rory but is worried about betraying his husband who passed years ago. Seeing them fall in love was so sweet and I loved it. I also really enjoyed seeing the beginning of their found family forming. Now I just need to find the rest of this series.

Thank you so much Eliana Lee, NetGalley and G.P. Putnam’s Sons for sending me an ARC of the last book in the Cozyverse series for review! I can’t believe this is the last book and I am sad for that but still loved it. This series is small town goodness and with all the meddling in this book it was perfect. With Summer so much being the last single friend I felt that in my soul and I understand it hard to balance being happy that your friends are in a relationship but also sad for the time in between meet ups. I also felt so much for Lucien, Jae and Mercer having to deal with the fall out of their parent’s pack falling apart and trying to be a family again and also being back in their pack house and processing the memories attached to it. After a pipe burst in Summer’s Bakery ruining her shop and her apartment she is forced to move in with the pack brothers and use space in Mercer’s patisserie next door. So we got forced proximity, why choose, friends with benefits leading to more. As always this was cozy and funny and I loved it! If you want the quirkiness of Gilmore Girls but in the Omegaverse then run don’t walk!
