Dramatic battles, tense political intrigue, unique world building...and is that maybe some romance I'm sensing? These books are not Romantasy but focus primarily on the SFF elements. Romance is a subplot and may not appear until later in the series, but when it does, you won't be disappointed.

Hey all, did you see this news? It looks like just a trial so far, but thoughts on how we can push back and get them to rehire their human translators?

Okay fellow Pagebound users I have a question for you! When you are reading a book what do you see? This sounds crazy but I had a conversation with my sister and we both agree we visualize the characters and everything that happens pretty vividly like we are there with the characters or maybe like a movie, sometimes even smells or feelings based on what we’re reading. however I asked another friend and they said they just see words on a page??? 🤔🤔I have done some googling and it appears there is a gradient of what people see when they picture an image or read a book? This is news to me as I thought the appeal of reading is to vividly hallucinate to, if you think about it….ink shapes on dead trees? Anyways wondering if anyone has anything to add to this lol - I may delete this as it might not make any sense but I hope it does🤔

How did you get into reading? I know maybe a simple question, but I got into reading because of my Godmother, she was a librarian for a school board and always gifted me books for Christmas and birthdays growing up. They would always be different genres and always something i would never choose myself. This made me really appreciate stepping outside your comfort zone to find something you may like (or may not like lol). Last year, we decided to share a read together and again it was something I likely would have not picked up myself, but I was left with that feeling of appreciation for stepping outside your comfort zone and nostalgia for the old traditions manifesting itself in different ways.
So how does your story go? Have you been a reader since before you can remember? Was there a teacher or loved one that showed you the joys of reading? Or did you stumble upon reading later on in life?
Tell me, I'm nosy!!
