long story short, i’ve been able to read a lot of books lately and it’s really inspired me to get back into my writing phase! i was obsessed with wanting to write when i was younger but as adulthood/reality hit (womp womp), i haven’t been able to tap into my creative side as much but that’s starting to change.
i’ve already seen some good posts on here about the writing process, but looking at other reviews of books that i’m reading has me wanting some personal opinions! i feel like im leaning more into a fantasy inspired book - so what are general things that you all love vs “hate” or don’t like about fantasy novels? i feel like it’s so saturated lately, but maybe that’s my own personal opinion. is there something you haven’t read or seen in a novel that you’d love to see incorporated? plot twists? world building related?
reading is subjective so i know not everyone likes the same thing obviously, but in a world building, fantasy inspired story: what are your favorite or least favorite things to YOU?!
(also if anyone has tips for starting to write, ill take them! maybe this will be one of my fleeting obsessions as an aries idk, but i would still like to hear from people on what they love or don’t love with fantasy novels!)

I just had the insanely jarring realization that honeymoons are a thing and I completely forgot about them when I set my username. I’ve always used “ golden moon” something as gaming usernames and just thought honey moon was a cute variation 🫠
This made me start wondering if I was similarly misreading anyone else’s usernames and what some of them meant. So while I think of a new username, I wanted to ask everyone what’s the story behind your username? 👀
Edit: The rebrand has been done 😌

What are some fictional characters that you either relate to or feel a deep connection with? I have found that some characters really stick with me and I was wondering what other characters stuck with people and made an impact on your life?

In honor of just having bought 8 books today (RIP my savings), tell me your most recent book purchases! I'm really curious 👀. Also if you've started reading them, give us your thoughts on it so far!

This month's prompt for my local library reading challenge is to "read a book set in prehistoric times." If you have any ideas, hit me! Thanks 😊

This is may sound outrageous, but I never look forward to rereading my (fiction) books, which makes me feel guilty, it's such a waste of money to only read your books once in a lifetime. When I want to be reminded what happened from the previous book, I just jump ahead through the specific pages or not doing altogether. Brute forcing the 2nd book with no memory and hoping to remember anything as I go. Other times was for literary analysis given by my professor, so I need to read the text several times.
I've tried it, but the feeling of already knowing what happens in a book makes me feel like Phil from Groundhog Day in his 100th—or only god know how many—loop.
So, what kind of activities or techniques you guys did?
Sorry for my grammar (ᗒᗩᗕ) And I'm sorry if it sound idiotic

I'm very hype about this volume because we get the one-two punch of Desscaras finally getting to live up to that ego of hers, and then turning around and showing she has a surprisingly big heart as well. We also finally find out what the overarching plot's going to be, and while the basic elements are nothing I haven't seen before, the execution turns it into something I really dig.
