This was such a surprising read for me! Phoebe goes to the Cornwall Inn to kill herself, and instead discovers why life might be worth living.
I actually wish there hadnât been a romantic side plot as I worried while reading that it would take away from her growth but I was happy with how it wrapped up.
âIt is so much easier to sit in things and wait for something to save us.â

People love this book and I have previously loved Chambers but I thought this was just okay! Maybe it just didnât find me at the right time in my life because I never got hooked the way I wanted even thought this book is just 150 pages.
Some truly beautiful quotes.
âWe exist where we begin, yet to remain there is death.â

This books means everything to me as a sister. I truly would go to the ends of earth, the ends of the universe for mine.

As a gal with a Classics Minor (not Greek but we did study it) the characters and experiences were a little too similar!! Like what do you mean my classmates were also trying to have a Bacchanal on our trip to Italy.

Meandering stream of consciousness about what it means to be human both in singularity and within the whole. However, even though this book is pretty short, I found myself hoping it was a tad shorter while I was reading it. No doubt the writing is stunning, but just not my favorite in this meditative genre.
