āI cannot wait to begin our story. The best is yet to comeā
TW WARNING : mention of infertility, death and grief
oh Matt the man that you are!! š„¹ once again, Hannah has created the most loving and caring couple within a book - I particularly enjoyed reading about Lane and Matts growth both individually and together , it was so touching.
I absolutely loved the element of grief intertwined into the plot as I thought it allowed us to see how each character would react and act to everything that they felt / said.
however , I was equally as disappointed by the lack of trigger warnings this book had - specifically surrounding topics such as death, grief and infertility
I was also caught off guard by the ending - I know many authors feel the need to write pregnancy into their stories for āthe happy endingā but I didnāt feel that this story was going to end the way it did - particularly for these characters as pregnancy wasnāt mentioned anywhere else in the book - thatās not to say that an author canāt change their mind but the audiobook stops at the epilogue , whereas the kindle version ends with another chapter from matts point of view and the mention of infertility.
as a reader who has PCOS and will most likely struggle to conceive thereās no pre-reader warnings that this book may contain sensitive material such as infertility.
i think for myself and many other readers this is a topic that needs to be carefully approached and applied - especially in books , unfortunately this was not the case.
overall , this is a lovely story that includes so many wonderful characters and moments - but ultimately mentions of sensitive topics need to be addressed before reading š

The Last Wish List - Review š· ā Grief has made me a gardener in my own mind. Iām always pulling at roots, cutting off stems, hacking down parasitic thoughts that threaten to overgrow me.ā
wow my heart š„¹ in this book we meet Nadia , a teenager who is trying to come to terms with the loss of her best friend Lizzy fortunately for Nadia , Lizzy has left behind a list of āwishesā for her to complete - whilst I believe the list is intended as more of a celebration of life for Lizzy , I think it also reflects a lot of Nadiaās feelings and healing process too.
I particularly loved how deep and gentle yet raw the characters emotions were portrayed throughout the book and how grief is necessary to overcome the pain and suffering.
I really enjoyed that this book had an element of romance between Nadia and Fran but it donāt take away from Nadiaās grief and that he was a positive influence within her moments of suffering.
overall I would like to give a massive thank you to netgalley, Jacqueline Silvester and publishers for allowing me to read an advanced reader copy of this book in return for an honest review , this was a quick yet enjoyable book and I highly recommend this to readers who are fans of Alice Oseman , Beth OāLeary and Sarah Ready

a shocking yet powerful story about the literary world and the extent writers will go to so they are perceived as being the most successful, influential and correct author to society and readers.

this was a quick and addictive listen, unfortunately it felt more like a couples counselling session rather than a shocking story but still enjoyable
