Happy Friday friends! It's been a couple week since I've done this because...idk, things got away from me. But here's my question for everyone this week:
Marry, Fuck, Kill: The main characters of your last three completed books. Bonus points if you provide explanations.

The last Friday we have in March! Can you believe it another month has gone by already?!! TIME NEEDS TO SLOW DOWNN!! I hope everyone is having a lovely week and onto the weekend we go! I know the weather is starting to be bipolar, so please be safe!!
This week what book was your freaky, feral, and or funny reads?! For me mine was Satan's Affairs by H.D Carlton more freaky for me. Feral: it was Candy Boys by Jo Raven, it wasn't my favorite read and but the spice was there.... I did read a lot of taboo books (heh) by A.R Taboo

Anyone else take part in the yearly (1st April - 31st March) r/fantasy Bingo card? I've got 1 book left to complete the 2025 card but instead of reading it I'm procrastinating and trying to guess next years prompts from the 2026 Bingo Teaser Card .
They always have 5 squares dedicated to Author of Colour, Self-Pub/Small Press, Short Stories, Published 2026 and Book Club.
I'm confident that the prompt for Row 2.4 is Short Stories, Row 3.3 is Published in 2026, and Row 5.3 is Published in the 70's (as they did 80s last year and 90s the year before).
My less certain prompt guesses are: Row 1.3 Translated Row 1.4 Self Pub/Small Press Row 2.1 Ghosts Row 2.3 Spin-off/Media Tie-in Row 3.2 Sequence Words (Last) Row 3.5 Fantasy Academia Row 4.1 Feminist Retelling Row 4.2 Merfolk Row 4.3 Middle-Grade Row 4.4 Aliens Row 4.5 1920's Setting Row 5.1 Author debut (but its a backlist) or Magicians Row 5.2 Food/Cooking or Graphic Novel
But I'm not sure if having Ghosts, Merfolk, Aliens and Magicians is too many character based prompts? For the other squares I either have too many ideas to narrow down or absolutely none. What do you think some of the prompts might be?

I've gotten a lot of great recommendations on this app but now I want to hear everyone's anti-recommendations. What are books you've read that I definitely should not read? Why are they so terrible? Let me hear all about your most hated books.

For me, when I was a child my parents gave me magazines for kids. There were short stories about folklore, funny comics, and more and my mother would read it for me. Before the audiobooks existed, my late mom's voice was my favorite ❤️ Since then, I've been growing up buying more books and when I looked back I realized that it's not just me who's always growing but my book collections too 📚🌱

I've noticed that the majority of recommendation posts on bookish social media sites list books that have been recently released (i.e. published within the past 5-10 years), or classics (i.e. published over 100 years ago).
I'm looking for recommendations of books published in between those two vastly different time periods. What are your favorite books (or just books you've enjoyed) that were released between 1965 and 2005? What made those books enjoyable to you? All genres are welcome!

Let’s play an easy and quick game - Review Chain!
1️⃣ Post a book in the comments - just the title and author is enough. 2️⃣ Scroll through the books posted and leave a ONE WORD review (keep it spoiler free please) 🤫
Let’s see how many words can be used to describe each book, and how much they’re alike - or different! Feel free to kindly debate one another’s words!
Hope everyone is having a good week! 💛
