You know when you read a mystery book and you can pretty much guess what is going to happen and who did it? This is not that book. You learn the information as the characters do and holyyy does the mc make for an incredible unreliable narrator. The whole horror aspect of it is incredible. It's as realistic as this sort of thing could be and so very hauntingly strange.

I know this is a controversial topic, but the more controversial the more important it is to have a discussion about it. My strategy is to always check my library and local bookstores first before pirating. While I do want to support authors and their works, I cannot bring myself to support the major book sellers in my city because of their really weird views on genocide. This method has actually worked really well for me in terms of finding the book I want. The only time it has failed me has been with much older works and obscure religious/spiritual/occult texts.
So now I put the question out to the rest of this lovely community: what are your thoughts on piracy?

An introduction to the Classics, these books are part of the cultural zeitgeist or the 'canon' that many would recognize. Look for more niche titles in later Starter Pack volumes.

This is the first horror book I have ever read and I must say I am enjoying. Mind you, there is very little horror going on right now. So far there have been a couple of moments that have really reminded me of the time of which this book was written (1972) but there is nothing that I can do other than recognize the outdated terms and ideas and move on. I am a really big fan of the folklore established so far. Maybe I am just a nerd and getting to much dopamine from it, but it's super interesting!
