i had extremely high hopes for qjj and i spent a while putting off actually reading it because i was so scared to be disappointed, luckily it wasn’t the case!! i genuinely adore the chemistry between shen zechuan and xiao chiye, you can tell they’re made for each other and their banter and interactions had me laughing and smiling at my book more than once hehe

they’re amazingly written characters and i fell in love with shen zechuan’s character practically at first sight, i LOVE his personality and his motivations but also his inner conflict and the way he deals with the other characters oh my god he’s soo interesting. i honestly wasn’t sure about xiao chiye at the beginning but the more i read about him and his pov the more i started to feel for him, he’s so well written and i can’t wait to see more of him.

the only thing i struggled a bit with was understanding the plot, the subtilities and all the different characters, i was a bit lost at times but i just need to lock in i think

i can’t wait to buy and read the rest, im REALLY looking forward to see how their relationship evolves in the rest of the series ^_^
