Any recommendations for books like this?
Loved. Will begin finding myself in cozy, plotless books. Just what I needed to get out of my head. Appreciated the author for giving books characters were reading that I can later read for myself.

Now we are worried that ‘talking to myself on paper’ ( a pretty common journaling exercise) makes her a ‘schizo’. How delightful.

If you love this author, you'll definitely get to know her in this one. It kinda hits home reading about a middle aged woman with the thought processes of a high school girl. I picked up the book in hopes of being immersed in the culture but I only got to 27% (chapter 29) and I just don't wanna keep hearing it. Not to say these aren't genuine struggles in a person's life but for right now, I'm not interested in going down this rabbit hole of emotion and mental status of the author. I might try again later.

I really want to like this book. I like a Greek myth retelling and I love an mm romance but both are falling flat for me. I’m bored 🙃

Did the audiobook with more content. Loved learning about so many different compartments to black history.

The writing is so captivating. The illustrations are beautiful. Cannot wait to continue reading the message being told by author.
Not a big reader of non fiction but the writing in this is beautiful. Love all the things this book already has me researching on my phone!

Even though it's been some days since finishing it, it still lingers in my mind. I think it's going to be one that I go back to from time to time.

Cozy, definitely finishing today. Appreciated learning about books the main character and others read. Nothing crazy occurs but it's just a book to connect to people and let go of complicated plots.
