from the synopsis, i was expecting so much more - i did like the ending but the plot was somehow both lacking and convoluted.

the smut was very excessive, sometimes showing up in scenes that made no sense and even took away from the actual scene itself.

i did like a lot of the characters and would've loved more exploration into them and the actual plot but we didnt get much of it.

overall it was an okay read, it did get very slow in the middle which was quite gruelling to read but it picked up again towards the latter quarter of the novel. i probably wouldn't recommend it though, sadly.
