currently in the mood for romance. my first bk borison!!! im not usually a fan of friends to lovers but i like this so far. tbh tho while i do have tropes i like or dislike i dont let them define a book for me or be so important that they can singularly affect whether or not ill read sth. also my enjoyment of tropes relies completely on the actual context of the plot. anyway i was so surprised when i saw i was alr 24% thru after only one short sitting bc it feels like the story has barely started

i was so into this for the first dozen or so chapters but then it just completely lost me 💔 i'm not a big plot person but every time the story takes a pause for a history lesson or sth i cant concentrate. and when he's talking abt the ship and crew (so far) it feels like a pre-story introduction thing rather than u getting to know the characters & dynamic as the story goes on yk. theres still a long way to go so fingers crossed i will get back the early chapters' magic
