And what if loving someone is remembering them ? What is love if itâs not noticing someone in a crowded room, remembering and noticing every details of their face, body and mind. Maybe, loving someone is consuming them, discovering and being scared that the memory they created in our mind fade away.

There's a "conversation with the author" section at the end of the book. The first question is "how long did it take you to write this book?" The answer is "well, you won't believe me, but.........two months"
Well, Christina Dalcher, I certainly do believe it was written in two months. It's actually so bad.
This had such potential and it ended up being such hot garbage. The government oppresses women by mandating and controlling that they can only speak 100 words a day. The premise is good and that's where it stopped being good.
The characters are insufferable, the timeline of how the US got to the point where this starts makes no sense for how normalized everything is. The whole plot about how the government wants to continue to oppress LITERALLY makes no sense. All of the plot twists, I saw coming like 200 miles away and they were all so stupid. The ending wraps up too nicely. And then there are also full sections where I literally don't understand how it makes narrative sense, like I was rereading passages and it never made sense.
This is absolutely going to be my worst book of the year and it's only April.
