Love to hear if and how folks track their nontraditional books! I am big on doing puzzle books like crosswords and Murdle and I'm starting to get into cooking and cookbooks more.
Some puzzle books (like Murdle) have plots so I have no issues with counting them as read. But I also actively read my cookbooks, although not cover to cover so I don't actually know when to consider it read.
I also recognize that not tracking them is an option, but I'm too type A for that lol

Morally grey or straight up baddies? A collection of books written from a villainous/morally grey POV. Only the first book from a series is included.

the main character - annoying the "twists" - a straight line the writing - drawn out metaphors to make the main character's inner monologue sound pretentious

It's so relatable that Thea is wishing that she could tell someone that her kid is evil but, the second her neighbor mentions that her kid is a lil naughty, she goes into full blown screaming at the neighbor.
It's like how I call my cats stupid but no one else can.

i am absolutely convinced that this book had a different title until, like, less than a month ago. it came in from my holds and i was like ???? i recognize this cover but tantrum was NOT it's name.
WHAT IS THE TRUTH?

I think I owe this a reread in the future; read the whole thing physically until ch. 33 and then finished via audio while playing hollow knight. Didn't love the audio narration + didn't feel like I understood how the clues were coming together which could have been bc my brain was more distracted than I thought

I'm really digging the cast of characters and currently have some suspicions about potential twists
Also i am flip flopping on if I like all the video game tie ins bc Addie (the game dev) makes really interesting connections to game design but it always is followed with an ELI5 to her grandma or just as narration in the book. And I am not 5 when it comes to gaming so just a personal annoyance.

So, I need some positivity in my day! Tell me all about your recent, positive, book related news. Maybe you discovered a new favourite author or read an instant highlight or heard about some release you are super excited about ...
For a bit of context, I just accepted the fact that I won't be able to go to the German R. F. Kuang/Katabasis event, because I didn't find someone to go with me, and my social anxiety and autism are saying: Absolutely the fuck not :)))!
So, whatever it is, I am very ready to be happy together with you!
