Such a quick read. It was over before I really figured out what had happened. It would have been a full 5 stars if the motivations of a certain character had been clear, or at least clearer.

Omg I've been so ill for like 3 weeks so haven't touched this so was worried I'd have lost momentum. I'm having so much fun with this book. I had such high hopes and the first 10% I worried I'd be let down but it has picked up so much that I don't want to put it down.

Very informative and incredibly anxiety inducing. I learned a lot about the current climate crisis, how we got here and what potentially comes next. This book is very well organised into sections so the information isn't all mixed up. My major gripe is I really don't like the author's attitude toward animals and nature. He says near the beginning something along the lines of as far as he is concerned we could lose three quarters of all nature and it wouldn't bother him. He seems to only care about humans. I will say that I like that this was not just centred on how climate change will impact the West, he talks about countries in all continents and how they will be harmed.
