This was a contemporary workplace romance that, in many ways, also felt like a second-chance romance for our two main characters, Alex and June. Both lecturers at the same university, they find themselves thrown together when Alex has to take over June’s Sexual Health classes.
The story was humorous while also touching on some more difficult family dynamics and situations. I found it a really easy and enjoyable read, with subtle hints of their feelings for each other slowly seeping through as the story progressed.
The only thing I struggled with was the lack of the MMC’s POV. Without being able to see inside Alex’s head, I sometimes found it tricky to gauge his true feelings for June. However, as the story went on, it became increasingly clear that there was some serious yearning happening behind the scenes!
And the spice? So intimate and beautifully written.
Overall, this was a fun, heartfelt workplace romance with plenty of humour, chemistry, and yearning.

This was my first step into the Callahan series, and I think the book did a fantastic job of introducing the characters and providing enough background on what had happened previously. Even as a first-time reader, I never felt lost jumping into an interconnected series.
Dr Harlow Lane is a genius from birth, constantly excelling far beyond her peers. She’s become incredibly good at taking care of herself in every aspect of her life…and then comes Ryan Callahan.
A financial officer at the hospital, Ryan and Harlow have so many similarities, but above all else, this man is a CARETAKER. And let me tell you, that trope runs throughout this book, and I absolutely LOVE nothing more than seeing a hardworking, capable woman finally being looked after the way she deserves.
Alongside their story is the darker plot of a serial killer wreaking havoc, which reminded me of my first introduction to Catherine Cowles’ Sparrow Falls series. There was just the right amount of tension and intrigue to keep me hooked, with, of course… SPICE!
Twists, turns, suspense, spice, and a true found family, this book had a little bit of everything.
Definitely a great first step into the Callahan series!

Thank you to Lily Crozier and her team for this ARC! It was such a fantastic choice for NetGalley Camp.
I’m always here for a vampire romance, but when the MMC is as devoted and patient as Raleigh, it makes the story even more enjoyable. This fast-paced romantic fantasy follows the characters as they navigate their growing connection, personal development, and the powerful forces determined to keep them apart.
I loved watching Clara, the FMC, challenge everything she thought she knew about vampires and slowly uncover a different side to the world she believed she understood. The characters' tension was captivating, and I really enjoyed how the romance and plot continued to develop throughout the story.
A great read for anyone who loves fantasy romance, vampires, and a slow-building connection filled with emotion and intrigue.

What a wide ride this was! I love a dark romance and especially a dark MMC, give them to me in a well-planned setting and a down bad man, and I love it even more!
This was a fast-paced dark romance with well-written development, spice, and just enough tension to keep you reading!

This book completely charmed me from beginning to end. It's the kind of book that wraps you up in cosy magic, heartfelt romance, and a wonderfully whimsical small-town atmosphere that makes you wish Heartwood Hollow was a real place you could visit.
Rosie instantly won me over. She's clumsy, resilient, and determined to break the curse that's kept love just out of reach for generations of women in her family. Even with the weight of that heartbreak hanging over her, she never loses her warmth or hope, making her impossible not to root for.
Then there's Jack, the grumpy gaming shop owner who's been holding onto a grudge against Rosie for years. Their relationship starts with sharp banter and genuine frustration, but underneath all the bickering is undeniable chemistry that slowly grows into something beautiful. Watching their walls come down, and their feelings develop, felt authentic, heartfelt, and incredibly satisfying.
One of my favourite parts of the story was Jack's grandfather. The ghostly matchmaking twist was equal parts funny, touching, and emotional, adding so much heart to the romance. His mission to find peace became more than just a magical quest; it became the catalyst that helped Rosie and Jack confront their fears, let go of old hurts, and open themselves up to the possibility of love.
The magic in this story never overshadows the emotional depth. At its core, Meet Cute Magic is about healing, family, forgiveness, and choosing to believe in love even when it feels impossible. Those themes were woven beautifully throughout the story, giving the romance real emotional weight.
