Just wanted to give a shoutout to the developers of Pagebound. They really do listen to the comments from users. Commented something about search engine going to "users" everytime, now it's automatic at "books". Brilliant. Thank you SO MUCH <3 really appreciate to see the change :D

This isn't a review, I just want to say that this book made me cry because my mom is a bit similar to that bad mother (not as much as Jennette's) and there are a lot of situations that really got to me :( I bought it when it came out and I hadn't wanted to read it because I knew at the time that I wasn't ready. Now I'm better and I hope Jennette is too.

What are you planning to tackle in September? I've always read the first and second novels in the Beartown and The Bloodsworn Sage back to back, and now I've returned for their finales which I'll be finishing back to back in September. Two series which I've LOVED so far, so I'm both sad and excited to round them out! Some new releases I want to get to are Hemlock & Silver, What Stalks the Deep (T Kingfisher is auto-buy for me) and also The Library of Hellebore (Cassandra Khaw is amazing at grotesque writing). Lastly, I had paused The Blade Itself a few months ago as while I was liking it, I was not really vibing at the time. Well, the time has come for me to get back to it! (Fantasy rejoices) Anything else I read will be a mood read!

Who is an auto buy author for you and which book of theirs hooked you?

TL;DR Passed a super stressful career exam, signing on in the morning to read all the posts and chats kept me going There has been a few posts about routine / habit forming in the club and also some posts on interacting and immersing yourself in the burgeoning community. Right when I started studying for this (silly, because it is) exam I joined Pagebound and I would sign-in in the morning with a coffee and go through the forums, reading posts, recognising names, stuffing my TBR, upvoting the heck out of great contributions, just ENJOYYIING... before I would jump across to lose myself in stressful exam prep. Today I found out I passed my exam above target across the board and just wanted to shout out to the community a huge thank you. Not sure if this passes the vibe check but heck, I'm riding a massive high right now and feel gratitude flowing from my pores like sap 😆 P.S. Definitely going to keep the new morning habit (routine) 😍

This just popped into my mind as a fun way to drum up some conversation between folks and get some solid comment threads! Everyone can list some bookish thing they like or do or experience (only if it hasn't been listed already!!) to start a new thread, and the goal is to build the threads by going through the comments and finding other responses that you relate to and commentinh to that adding a little more detail on your take. And of course, upvote, so we can see whats most common! For example, if someone says "I collect bookmarks" someone else may say "I do too and always match them to my books" (inspired by a little convo I saw recently, if this was you please let me know and I'll happily shout you out directly -> possibly example credit to Atheshootingstar!)
