I have two: Dogsbody by Diana Wynne Jones (every damn time I read it😭) and Dancing After TEN by Vivian Chong (which is not my usual genre but wow it packed a punch). What books wrecked you emotionally??

Curious to hear from others. How do you rate books? I’ve seen a lot of people that say a 3 star is a good book for them and they only give higher stars for books that are almost perfect. For me, I give out 4-5 stars a lot I think but it’s because it’s about how hard it was to put the book down. Whether I thought about the book when I wasn’t reading it and if I was attached to the characters. 5 stars to me doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the most amazingly written book, just that I had a really good time reading it. I was curious to hear how others rate! I think it’s all valid, I’d just love to know how others do it too.
