This book is a memoir about the “Eat, Pray, Love” author Elizabeth Gilbert where she talks a lot about addiction, grief and the loss of the love of her life, Rayya. This was the first time in my life I’ve ever read a whole book in one day. I’m so conflicted with how I feel about the book but I know that I had to give it a 5 stars because not only was I crying all over my pages, but I was actually hooked to it - could not put it down. I found it hit so close to home as being an addict myself, it triggered me in so many ways. She did a fantastic job at diving into the addiction and explaining all the habits and emotions you go through. The writing was spot on and it felt like the book was personally dedicated to me. I cried from the very first page to the end - like BAWLED MY EYES OUT. One thing I didn’t really agree with is writing so heavily about someone who has passed away where they aren’t able to share their side of the story or defend themselves. But all in all the story was actually incredible and if I gave it any less than 5 stars I’d be lying to myself!

About a man waking up in space after being in a long standing coma, with two of his ship mates found dead beside him. He must then work out where he is and what he is supposed to do. This book started off really strong, I was so hooked and it was so addictive! But then it slowed down, I started getting lost in all the science of it and I started skimming pages to skip the science coz i just found it so super dull. I also found rocky unrealistic where I can’t really imagine him. Pacing was good though, the tempo of the book really flowed well. Writing was funny and simplistic, nothing special. All in all I really did enjoy the story but it took me way too long to get through and I skimmed a whole bunch to get through it.

This book is about a couple who goes away on a little getaway to the Scottish highlands in a last ditch effort to save their marriage when things start being very strange. I liked the book, it had a lot of AMAZING quotes. The writing was actually phenomenal it felt like the writer wrote specifically to suit me, I loved it. The story itself was alright. Very standard for a thriller, i was surprised though so bonus there. The characters I didn’t like so much, although I did find the wife eerily relatable.

after reading 3 fantasy books in a row, I wasn’t sure how I’d go with a romance and was worried it would be a little boring compared to the recent stuff I’ve been reading.. but THIS is quickly becoming one of my favourite romances I’ve ever read. Abby has definitely sprinkled a bit of crack throughout this book coz I legit can’t get enough. Every scene is so witty and done flawlessly! Banter is A1 and im loving both Alexis and Daniel. Can’t wait to see what else happens!!

I’m actually really enjoying the book surprisingly. I’m not usually a fan of a story within a story, I find it annoying but this one I’m not minding at all, I actually don’t mind the protagonist reading a book (it’s a book within a book in this case) coz both the storyline’s are keeping me on my toes. I’ve heard that the first half is good and second half not so much so I’ll keep you updated!!

This is a mystery short story as a part of the Alibis Amazon Original Stories Collection. It’s about the murder investigation about a restaurant owner Ian where his three ex wives among a few other characters are suspects in the investigation. It’s a fast paced quick read with a dual time line going back and forth from the night of the murder to the pending investigation. This started super strong for me, I was hooked for the first ten chapters. Then I just lost interest, I don’t know exactly what did it but I trudged through seeing as it was just a short story anyway. I did like the characters in the book it was very murder mystery comedy movie -esk. The ending did surprise me too so that’s a bonus.

This book is a fictional novella about a girl named Elena who’s been dragged into sex trafficking. It’s inspired by real events, victim accounts and research. When I first picked up this book I was super fascinated. Everything that happened in it seemed realistic along with the FMC. It did in my opinion get a little boring as nothing really major happened other than the trafficking itself. I wish she went into more details about what happened to her or gave us more scenes to actually describe what it was like to be there as I found her writing very vague. I don’t think I learnt anything new on the subject while reading this book, it’s exactly what I expected. So it didn’t blow me out the water. All in all, it was okay.

This is a book is a romance story between Alexis a doctor, and Daniel a carpenter and town mayor for a small rural town. Alexis is a decade older than Daniel but their problems don’t stop there, they live 2 hours away from each other, have complete different lifestyle and Alexis just got out of an abusive relationship. I REALLY enjoyed this book. It took me ages to pick it up, it been sitting on my shelf for ages and I’d been avoiding it because I’m not a big romance reader. This one completely surprised me. I loved the characters, I loved the small town setting, I loved the puppy dog MMC personality and all the little plot lines in the story. I was losing interest in the middle a little but it wasn’t bad. All in all, I think it’s definitely top 5 in all the romances I’ve read.

the way Alexis described herself and the legacy of the Montgomerys had me thinking for a hot minute that being "a Montgomery" was some sort of super specialist profession i'd never heard of 💀💀 it's just her family name though

About Charlie who is a female in a world where females are basically extinct. She’s auctioned off and sold to 3 demons who bought her for the purpose of “feeding” an incubus (a sex demon). It started off super strong I read almost half in the first sit then I lost interest due to the lack of plot. It became mostly sex scenes and a bunch of the main character crying, I got really over it even though I thought it would be a five star read when i was first reading. I did like all the characters except for the FMC, she’s was a bit whiney. I LOVED the character Gray and have decided he’s my first book boyfriend lol. The smut was good at first and then the author just over killed it. It was all in all, okay. Don’t know if I’ll be continuing the series, probably not.
