Brilliant novel, and its so accurate in how it describes grief. How it can so easily take a grip of you and drive you into insanity before you can even blink. My only personal gripes with this book (looking past all of the run of the mill ableism expected from any early King novels) is the hostility towards bedbound patients. While I have no problem with depicting a chronically ill/terminally ill character as an evil nightmare, its a bit unfair to have your Doctor main character say that ALL bedbound patients become evil nightmares.

I unintentionally finished this book on the 27th of May which was very fitting. Such a great book with awesome and powerful imagery, its impressive how well King writes about the experiences of teenage girls and how nasty they can be. The ending dragged on a bit and thats probably my only complaint. I enjoyed this a lot!
