Dark romance seems to say it promotes depth but ends up serving surface level and predictable plots that are not even sensible. Why do I keep giving RK a chance. Also the pro life bs. Stay away.

I get excited like a toddler whenever I find something similar to Tangled even though it is a retelling. I like how tangled and this book's characters share the same initials.

This is completely on me, that I don't keep up with timeline based plots well.
Nonetheless, the writing was heavenly. It conveyed all the emotions so well that I was sobbing and whimpering every 2 pages. Also I finished it in two sittings, because I couldn't hold myself back. I was invested 🤓

You can cut a quarter of this book out and lose nothing. It is so damn long

I miss Edel Kavanagh and her husband in moments like this when almost all parents in the book are disappointing and not at all supportive towards their children.... Hugh and Claire's mom might be an exception but not always.... because woman stop defending your husbands "disappearance". Like, you can support him and help him by dragging him out of bed, honestly...
