Not gonna lie, I did watch the series on Netflix before I read the book. I watched it a couple of years ago and I loved it, was obsessed with it. And now my friend inspired me to read it, and it was not what I was expected at all.

I thought I knew what was going to happen, something’s I recognized from the show. But there was a lot of things that was completely different from the series and not being shown in the series.

And I loved the book even more than I did the tv series, I loved the characters so much more, and I felt like I connected more to them from reading the book. This mystery world building was good, the story, the plot twists were cool. Some I did feel like was little obvious, or maybe that’s because I have seen the tv series. But overall it was so deep, and moving, and when I picked up the book and started reading, it was always hard for me to put the book down!!

This is a perfect example of a 5 star read, got everything that I want in a book. Magic, a kick ass protagonist, romance, drama, tension, heartbreak. With sprinkles of I dependence and breaking traditions Queen 👸💗✨

I have recently finished when you were mine and it was really good. I have been watching the rookie for a couple of days.

So to be able to follow this lady who is a police officer, solving this crime was epic. It was so interesting, thrilling and VERY creepy.

I like watching true crime, and series where you can follow the detective and my self try to guess who’s the killer. I thought I was good at it, but the plot twist made me really question my detective skills 🥲💔.

The ending was good, and left me speechless. I really enjoyed this read. This makes me what to read more in this genre, and bring out my inner detective more often 🕵️‍♀️✨

I ate this book up!! This one went way beyond my expectations, I thought it was going to be good. Because I love books with dragons in them, but this one was just a chefs kiss.

I was hooked already in the first chapter, and I enjoyed every second. This was not a waste of time. There was mystery, tension, and thrilling some time, sisterly love, and a nicely slow burn with a little hint of enemies to lovers vibe on top. A really good mix, I’m happy to take anytime!!❤️❤️

A strong 4/5 ⭐️ from me, highly recommend !!
