  • Bookmark or folding the page corners?

Lately I've been reading so fast, travelling back and forth so I genuinely haven't got the time for bookmarks! 😅

That brings me to my question are you a bookmark sort of reader or do you just fold the corner over?

Also if anyone has any excellent bookmark recs I'd love to hear them! 📚🫶

    Thoughts from 70% (Audiobook)

I decided to try the audiobook during a bout of insomnia, and now I’ve only got just over three hours left! I may have drifted off here and there, but even with the sleepy gaps, it’s already clear the book has way more depth than the series. The show captures the big emotional beats, but the novel fills in so many cultural details, motivations, and inner thoughts that never made it to screen.

    Thoughts at the end..

This was lovely. Trademark Backman but with a more comedic twist than some others I’ve read. He has a way of seeing the world that makes you feel like it’s not such a bad place and I think that we need that now more than ever!

Is it worth it after watching the series?

I watched the Black Cake series when it came out; definitely not my usual type of show, but I ended up enjoying it. Now I’m tempted to try the book for the Mardi Gras Challenge, even though I already know the main plot and it’s not normally something I’d pick up. For anyone who’s read it: is the book still worth diving into after seeing the adaptation? Does it add enough depth or extra layers to make it feel fresh? Would love some quick thoughts before I add it to the TBR pile.
