There is one good haiku in here. Maybe another okay poem. But nope, Ginsberg had clearly deteriorated a lot by the seventies. Some of the poems are just him writing down what he sees on TV, some are sexual ramblings, some are just him proselytising while pretending it's a poem. Skippable in the extreme.

Are there any books for this quest that you have DNF'ed? So far I've only read "Beloved" and the 2nd book that I've tried to read for this quest is "Catcher in the Rye," but it is very hard to finish. I'm kind of bored with the story and the way Holden thinks and talks just annoys me (maybe it's because he's a teenage boy and I'm a 20 year old woman). I'm a little over halfway through the book and am trying so hard to finish but I don't know if I'll make it.
So, if you have DNF'ed any books for this quest, why?

All things wild and wonderful
A collection of non-fiction books that touch upon the stories of the natural world, and all the people who live among it. (Or, as an astronomer once said: "I love stories, and the story of our universe is the grandest one we have") Always open to suggestions!

Well, the movie is certainly better than the book. What is the main plot of the book is a moment in the film, and all the better for it. This goes off the rails in quite a ridiculous way, though maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't seen the movie first (and multiple times, love it). A few funny moments, but all in all skippable.
