guys I wanted your opinion on this: see, when June discovers that it seems she can't write something entirely original, and she always unconsciously bases her work off something that already exists, I found that quite gripping cause I actually think about that often. is it braver to accept the fact that maybe your dream job (or whatever) just isn't for you or to keep going to maybe eventually get good enough for it?

I am so excited!! That first chapter sets the mood. R.F. Kuang's style is so different here, it seems she's adapting it to every pov and context.

pour une fois... j'ai été surprise.
alors au début j'ai eu un peu peur tellement la prétendue évidence était évidente. je priais pour que ça ne soit pas aussi pourri. mais j'ai été mauvaise langue et l'histoire s'est avérée plus complexe que ça. l'idée, quoique pas très originale, avait du potentiel.
cela dit, j'ai toujours mes réserves sur la façon dont le scénario est ficelé. c'est maladroit et truffé d'incohérences.
mais j'avoue la fin abusée à la film d'horreur humoristique de série B était marrante.
