I need to know where you all stand!

This has probably been a post before, but I couldn’t find it, so I’m asking!

I was texting with my book club and it got me thinking about how differently we all rate books.

I’ve realized I’m not super selective with my stars 😅 I definitely give them out like candy. I’m very much an “if I vibe, it’s a 5” kind of reader. Even if there are moments that make me cringe or roll my eyes, if the overall vibe is there, it’s probably getting a 4 or 5 from me.

Meanwhile, my friends would rate that same book a 2 or 3 because of those cringe and eye-roll moments.

So now I need to know… what’s your vibe for ratings? 😌📖

    My scale for reference:

1 star – I want my time back. 2 stars – I finished it… but I complained the whole time. 3 stars – It was fine. I’ll forget it in a few days. 4 stars – I really enjoyed it, had some issues, but I’m recommending it. 5 stars – I vibed even despite the issues and i’d reread and recommend it.

  • What is the book you have most put off and why?

The book that you almost are 100% positive you will enjoy, but for some reason or another haven’t gotten to yet.

I for one am almost positive I will love My Heart is a Chainsaw but anytime that i have gotten a chance to try it or pick it up… I always find a different book or a different thing to do.
