I'd like to think that the narration is voyeuristic. Designed to make the readers the secret observer. The proses, the exchanges, the settings-- it challenges us to continue learning about Blue and Red and the whole timeline. And this is just me but maybe that's intentional. And for me, I enjoy what I could only "decode" so reading this book is worth of all the "confusion". Also maybe this is why some people dislike this book? That they need some control to understand the whole thing so to make sense and therefore arrive on a solid conclusion? Idk. To each of their own I guess.

For those of you who plan out your monthly reads in the Plan feature, how closely do you follow it? Do you find yourself adjusting throughout the month, or do you stick exactly to what you have listed?
I always feel like I never actually stick to my initial plan, either because library book holds come in sooner than I think, so I have to move other books later, or because I'm reading for a monthly challenge from one of of my GR groups which doesn't come out till after I've created my plan. When I decide to read something that wasn't originally on the plan, I always also update the plan so that at the end of the month, it never looks like how it started.

Does it shock anybody else's parents that you're reading spicy novels even though you're an adult?
I'm 29 and today my mum discovered that Heated Rivalry (my current book obsession) is spicy. She full named me with a really dramatic gasp. Saying "I thought you were picking up clean romances, I did not realize you like spicy books."
And I'm like "And? I'm 29"
She's even bought me other spicy novels as gifts for birthdays and Christmas. Mostly Romantasy novels. Now I'm wondering if she thought those were clean romances too and did not realize they were spicy (some are very spicy).
I know for certain she'd be mortified to see my Dark Romance obsession. Some of things in there are... yeah....
I just don't get the big deal... 🤔

This was both funnier and more heartfelt than I expected it to be. I get the hype and am very excited to continue the series
