I just got a random question one day: what books do people want to see turned into movies/tv shows/series and why - is that because of a great character, or an unforgettable plot/plot twist(s)? Here are mine (feel free to check them out if you want!!) : • The Inheritance Games - the plot + characters • The Naturals - The characters • Caraval - The world • Powerless - The characters • The Reappearance of Rachel Price - the plot • Lie Or Die - The plot + plot twist These are some of my favourite books of all time (not all) and I would love to know yours and your reasons why you would want them to be turned into a movie/series/tv show!! <3

Fellow readers! What are your preferred physical book format preferences?
I've recently come across too many deckle edges for my liking, I absolutely despise them. With the explosion of sprayed edges and the downfall of the mass market paperback I'm wondering if my opinions are unique or are manufacturers absolutely dropping the ball.
✅ Mass market paperback: she is perfect. If every single book I read was a mass market paperback I would be such a happy reader. No matter the length of the book, honestly I prefer it for super chunky books over a huge hard cover that is super heavy.
☑️ Paperback over Hardcover As a Canadian where hardcovers have become $40, base price, it's not worth it. Dust jackets piss me off and if it's too large of a book it becomes too heavy and I can't hold it! Unless it's a library book, then I will choose a hard cover over paperback. I do enjoy the plastic wrapping, maybe I need to just do that for the hardcover books in my collection.
☑️ Trade Paperbacks Preferred over hardcovers but they feel so huge
❎ Sprayed edges Pure market oversaturation. They started off as special and beautiful but now it seems like manufacturers are just doing everything and anything, and every book needs to have sprayed edges.
❌ Manufactured Deckle Edges These piss me off! I've read at least four books this month that have had deckle edges and I can't stand them. We want uneven pages and an obviously fake "rustic" look? No. Not for me

I would say the tagline does this book a disservice. Does it deliver on "The Naked Truth About Hot Dogs"? No. There's some history and the beginning and a brief description of manufacturing processes. What it is, truly, is the depiction of a woman travelling around the United States in the summer of 2021, fresh out of multiple countrywide lockdowns. Recovery, discovery, forming of new relationships and moving on from old ones.
The audio format of this book was a joy to listen to. Did it follow through with its tagline? No. But that's okay
