I switched between loving and hating this book so many times, but by the end, my main complaint was that there wasn't more of the book.

This was surprisingly decent, but there are definitely better, more in-touch self-help books out there.

This book, and the men they reference in it, did not age very well. But some parts were funny and insightful!

This was a fun read, and I love Celeste and John's relationship! However, some of the drama felt very unnecessary, especially paired with Celeste's immense emotional immaturity at some parts.

This was sucha genuinely funny, cute read!! I had this on my tbr for SO LONG, and I'm so glad I finally read it!!! It's definitely in my top 10 reads of this year

Ughhh this was such a good book. I didn't really like Ella for roughly 1/3 of the book, but she had some character growth so yay! This is definitely an emotional read. 😭

Eeekk loved this book! I'm a sucker for any book that deals with writers and publishing. I went into this book excited to see how the characters would develop in their professions and their relationship, and this book did not disappoint!! I loved Ciara and Sam's relationship, and though it felt rushed at times, I felt like it made sense for the characters. Overall, this was such a cozy and fun read, and I would highly recommend it!

4.75⭐️ I loved this book, it kept me hooked and it was sooo insightful!!

As a woman brought up in a very religious household and still in very religious circles, this book gave me the knowledge and direction I needed to develop more concrete reasoning on my stance on biblical womanhood.

I often get into debates with both Christian men and women about a woman's role in the world and the church, and now, I feel so much more secure in my stances that the church does NOT truly teach that women are meant to live for men, sacrifice their rights for men, and simply submit because they are "inherently weaker in almost every aspect" than men. (Points I have had to debate a shocking number of times) Now, I know the direction to look in for further proof to back my stances.

Ofc this book is limited by its predominantly white, evangelical perspective, but it's a great springboard to dive further into what biblical womanhood truly is, and how corrupted and abused several facets of Christianity have become as they are misused by those in power.

Highly recommend to basically everyone interested in this topic!!
