Not sure if itās the Libby app of it all (and my font choice) but I am finding it a little tricky to tell when itās a flashback vs happening in the present day of the book, but otherwise this book so far is very much scratching in an itch in terms of unusual structure elements (right now a character is having a dream set out like a play) and a rag-tag bunch of not necessarily likeable but fun to read characters - Iām in

I can totally see how this book isn't everyone's cup of tea but I think it's mine. Yes, the book doesn't fully explain the world and I think that's part of the beauty of it. A lot of the information is shared organically and the author doesn't spoon feed us explanations. I like the concept of time as a braid and two opposing factions seeking different futures. I think this is my first Sci-fi book and I love it. It feels like they're talking in metaphors but some of the magic of the book is that the characters have lived some of these metaphors somewhere in time. The letters, the method of sending them, and the stakes make me fall deeper in love with the book.
