Hi, I'm in a bit of a decision slump so I was hoping for some recs.
Ideally, I'd like interconnected standalones purely cause I find my inability to decide isn't bothered by them as I don't technically have to commit.
Open to all genres and themes
Thank you <3

”The ocean hides things, you know that.” She absolutely knew it did. Swallower of boats and submarines and lost souls, keeper of secrets and all kinds of sublime aquatic life, most of which humans had never seen.
Ok see this is why I deeply fear the ocean. 😂

Ernest Cunningham is back baby, and he's in more danger than ever!
This is a whimsical, clever book series that leans into the absurd and excels in just allowing the reader to have some fun. Yes, the situations Ernest finds himself in are getting crazier, and yes some of the "clues" are totally insane—but if you've made it to this fourth book of the series, you already know and are probably counting on that. Where there's a talking parrot, there's mystery magic to be found.
There are, as always, a lot of characters to keep track of, but I think the bank heist setup actually makes this one of the easiest plots to follow because everyone is stuck in one place. The suspects are all unique and interesting, and I appreciated how well all the character arcs fit together. And though I was never even close to solving this mystery, I actually can see how a reader could make a solid attempt. Or at the very least, there are several mysteries along the way that are figure-out-able. And isn't that why we're here?!
And I'll end by saying the parlor scene reveal in this one is the most ridiculous yet, and I loved every minute of it. That alone scene alone makes this one worth the read! And if you haven't yet given this series a try, what exactly have you been doing??
[Thank you to NetGalley and Mariner Books for an advance reader copy of this book!]

everyone has misses, so what’s a book you hated from an author you love?
mine is zero days by ruth ware. she’s one of my favorite authors and that book is, to this day, one of the worst books i’ve ever read to the point i pretend it doesn’t exist when i think about her backlist.

I'm looking for your favorite Epistolary, Interview, Q&A, or Documentary style books to add to my TBR. My top read last year was The Favorites by Layne Fargo and I'd like to explore more books written in unique ways. 😊

Guys let's play a game 😭. Describe your favourite book or one of your favourite books as badly as possible and let others guess it. I’ll go first!
Summer camp turns out to be mandatory military training for neglected children and in this said summer camp, A child is blamed for a crime he didn’t commit and must road-trip across America to prove it.
Can't wait to guess your books!
