i never read a ballad of songbird and snakes, but i dont feel like im losing too much context. excited to see where haymitchs journey goes but i think it does kind of take me out of the story knowing who lives and dies in the end //: but who knows maybe the ending will be more devastating than i expect

this book was insane??? but in the best way possible. it kind of starts off slow bc there is so much worldbuilding but the second half got me SO gripped the character development & plot & writing was impeccable. i still have so many questions tho im so ready to read the second book

i think this is by far my favorite rf kuang book. the way she includes the concepts in this fantasy world of hell makes them fun and digestible
