was genuinely crying every time i picked up this book. like sarah damoff could never give me a damn break! besides being absolutely devastating, this story was beautifully written & there were many quotes that made me stop in my tracks to read them over and over again. my favorite read of the year so far!

everyone has been raving about this series, so i had to give it a go. not going to lie, i wasn’t blown away with this first one, but i think there is potential in the rest of the series. i am taking this first volume as an introduction/starting point, considering it being about 100 pages. i’m definitely intrigued and excited to continue!

at least the plot made more sense for this one than the last one since we are dealing with a character actually in the mob, but i’m not into the whole voyeurism thing which was like most of the book.
