I love fantasy and some light romance books, especially when it comes to queer books.

Guys aggggh I've been reading this book for a month because I got into such a reading slump. I can't find it in myself to read lately even though I'm loving the book!!!! Any ideas how to get me in the mood for finishing it? I'm on like the last hundred pages and I just can't get myself to it 😔😔

I honestly loved the hell out of this book. As someone who's studying chemistry/science, and even before I was very interested in all kinds of science stuff, this piece of literature combined my favorite things. It had a lot of chemistry and physics, but it didn't feel like I was too stupid to understand it even if it were some complex ideas. I read Artemis first, for some reason, and I have to say this is a thousand times better, even though Artemis was also pretty good.

I loved that you could tell through the book what kinds of people the characters were, even if they had minimal descriptors. I'm not used to reading books from first person like this, but Mark's humour felt real and not forced at all, all of the high stakes situations didn't feel like they're there just for the plot. And while it is a bit cliche that something at the end goes wrong, it was still a very satisfying end. I'll watch the movie this weekend, and I can't wait to buy Project Hail Mary and watch that film when it comes out as well!

Andy Weir is an amazing sci-fi author and I'm upset this gem was kept from me for so long.

I don't know if I'm just too simple to understand the book but i didn't enjoy it much, if at all. I see the meaning behind it and everything, but it wasn't really an enjoyable read. It feels very drawn out yet very short and empty at the same time.

It was a great read, very funny and lighthearted while also being attention catching. Just the ending was a bit meh? I don't know, it feels just so.. boring. I don't know what I expected or how else it could've ended, but it feels off.
