Happy Tuesday my big, beautiful Boundling brains!! It's the time of the week to share what you learned about yourselves, others, or the world through your reading this week! Whether it's a quick piece of trivia, a deep dive, or a sudden realization - all are welcome here!!
Not gunna lie - personally my brain is mush from a rollercoaster of a week ending on the high of the quests dropping yesterday so I feel like I can barely remember what I read last week let alone any fun facts haha but I'm excited to learn from y'all!

since pb is anti-ai, i wanted to highlight this. i found out about it today from a bookseller friend.
in a recent interview, tokarczuk (drive your plow over the bones of the dead, the empusium, etc) stated that she used AI to help write her most recent novel. here is an article about it on lithub.
it seems to be a recent interview and therefore new information, so there isn’t too much on it yet besides some horrified reactions on insta/threads. i’m planning to look into it more when i’m home from work and update with more links as necessary!

okay so, i know that this plot is extremely burnt down and totally predictable by now, with all the enemies to lovers with a sports player and their abusive parent who forces the girlfriend to break up with their son. but you know what, i don’t care, i enjoyed it, i read it whole on a 10-hour OVERNIGHT flight (yeah i did not sleep). the romance was funny and cliché and just so freaking cute. that said, i have no idea how i’m gonna watch the show now, cause this shit was intense and i don’t think my little chicken heart can take another round of this

What’s the worst error or spelling mistake you’ve seen in a book? I once had a book gifted to me where the cover was upside down 😅

Hi fellow non-English speakers, I have been thinking about this, since I'm currently reading a book out my own language. I always prefer to read fantasy in English BUT I don't mind reading other genres in my language. It's actually kind of weird, idk why it appeals me more to read fantasy in English. It's not that I won't read it in my language it's just that I prefer reading it in English.
Do you feel the same? Do you have a genre you absolutely love to read in English or do you just mostly read the books in your language?
