this is so weird. truth be told, i have never read a book like this and it is so intriguing. part of me wanting to DNF it but then i am way too curious about this book.
i am an empathetic reader so i feel A LOT when i read so what i can sense from this guy is that he is losing his mind. that i can tell from the first 30 pages.
the choppiness? that is not a lazy writing. the disjointed rhythm is deliberate. i can see that. honestly, i feel like i am in his head. everything. and he is not even telling you (as a reader) everything. its just bits and pieces like that is the only thing that he can process.
i am going to continue reading this one.

there ’s very conflicting views on this book but honestly it’s become one of my favourite books of all time. i unfortunately had a feeling it would hit the exact spot for me 😂 it was gross and odd and funny and disorientated and spoke about an important theme albeit in an alternative way. i absolutely adored it, though i do see why others wouldn’t and would recommend looking up triggers beforehand

This is one of my all-time-fave books BECAUSE of the writing. In a way I felt like it allows the book to sneak past any defenses or preconceived notions to surprise you with really deep and insightful messages. Next thing I know I'm SOBBING over this book and I don't even fully understand why in the moment, it took me days to really process it.
